I am the artist of the paintings you view in this gallery.
I live on the beautiful sub tropical North Eastern Coast of New South Wales in Australia. I have always had an interest in art and have spent many years in the advertising industry as a signwriter and mural artist. With this background I began painting with oils in the early 1960's. Many of my paintings these days are inspired by memories of my younger years while talking to and associating with the old timers of bygone days, as they used to tell the tales of the hardships of the thirties and the great depression. These people depended on kerosene lamps, blade razors to shave with and various other simple means to get through the daily struggle of life. My interest has been collecting these items and finding locations for my paintings which reflect this era while travelling throughout Australia. I find great satisfaction in creating these paintings and hope they evoke pleasure for you the viewer.
